Our vision

Why Forged exists

The vision behind the programme, the needs it answers, and what each of the five stages is for.

The vision

A vibrant community of empowered, knowledgeable and spiritually mature young people in America who lead lives of integrity, compassion and influence: leaders grounded in foundational Christian doctrine and passionate about spreading the gospel.

Why Forged

Faith under pressure

Anxiety, identity, rejection, cyberbullying, lust, and a culture that says truth is whatever you feel. Young believers carry all of it, often quietly. Forged does not avoid these things. They are on the curriculum.

“Devotion is especially vital for young believers navigating a fast-paced, morally complex world. It anchors identity in Christ rather than culture.”
From the curriculum: Chapter 1, Personal Devotion

Our purpose

Strong, resilient disciples

To build strong, resilient disciples among the youth in America, especially Millennials, Gen Z and Gen Alpha, equipping them with the spiritual tools and disciplines to thrive in today's society through a structured, comprehensive discipleship roadmap.

The aim is personal growth, character and effective ministry: young Christians who can navigate the complexities of modern life with a deep, unwavering faith and fulfil God's unique purpose for their lives.

“A theology without application produces knowledge without transformation.”
From the curriculum: Chapter 1, Personal Devotion

That is why every topic in Forged pairs what Scripture teaches with how to live it.

The curriculum

How every lesson is built

Every chapter of the Forged curriculum follows the same five parts, so you always know where you are in a lesson.

  1. 1

    Theological foundation

What Scripture teaches on the topic, and why it matters.

  2. 2

    Practical foundation

How that belief becomes lived experience, day to day.

  3. 3

    The topic at your stage

How it connects to the stage or theme it sits in, from New Beginnings to Inner Struggles to Maturity.

  4. 4

    Practical applications

Concrete steps to put the lesson into practice.

  5. 5

    Five study questions

Answered in your Forged portal and reviewed by your facilitators.

The essence of each stage

The name

Iron is shaped in the heat

A blacksmith does not shape iron cold. It goes into the fire in stages, from a dull black heat to yellow-white, and at each stage it can be shaped a little more. Forged works the same way. Five stages, each one building on the last, until what comes out is strong enough to carry weight.
